Phil Galt Named as New UK Managing Director

Cegedim Rx, the pharmacy entity of Cegedim Healthcare Solutions UK, has named former superintendent pharmacist and National Pharmacy Association director, Phil Galt, as its new community pharmacy managing director in the UK.

Phil Galt's Professional Journey 

As a qualified pharmacist, Phil has more than two decades of experience working at the coalface of community pharmacy, both in care and technology delivery and as a successful business leader within it.  

More recently, Phil held the dual role of managing director and superintendent pharmacist for independent, 32-strong chain, Lindsay & Gilmour Pharmacy. 

He has held the positions of non-executive director on the board of the National Pharmacy Association Insurance Company (NPAI) and as a director of the Association of Independent Multiple Pharmacies (AIMp). 

Leadership Transition at Cegedim Healthcare Solutions

Phil was also a trustee for the NPA Health Education Foundation, a charity set up to advance public education in the prevention and proper treatment of disease by encouraging greater research within community pharmacy. 

Phil has been passed the Cegedim Healthcare Solutions’ leadership baton from Adam Dennett, who after a successful ten-year tenure with the award-winning pharmacy software provider, is stepping down to pursue a new career outside of healthcare.
