SPIRE

Microtech Health support and mainain existing SPIRE (Scottish Primary Care Information Resource) software within all General Medical Practices in Scotland.

The Primary use for SPIRE is to provide reports and to collate statistics that can be used to support Doctors Surgeries, NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government. Not only is this to allow for greater use in Care and Plan services but for the wellbeing of the GP Patients.

SPIRE can be used to assist with tracking disease outbreaks and help with treatments for some specific conditions. It allows for information from the GP patient records to be securely utilised and processed by NHS Scotland, as well as allowing the GP practice to view these same reports and be used at Local GP practice level.

SPIRE Automatically syncs data from the Clinical System to ensure that the records being used are accurate and up to date. This sync runs currently every 4 hours for a GP Practice. This is so that when reports or queries are returned to NHS Scotland it will be as accurate as possible.

SPIRE is monitored 24/7 to ensure constant running within GP Practices. Where this is installed and can be reported to Microtech from Public Health Scotland within a matter of hours if there is an issue to be rectified, via our fully staffed and highly experienced Service-Desk.
