Join our panel discussion on PCN Transformation at Best Practice Show

Gianpiero Celino, Clinical Director of Cegedim Healthcare Systems leads a panel of experts to examine whether GP IT systems are “friend or foe” as PCNs seek to deliver population health management.

We will be exhibiting our Shared Care and Population Health Management Solutions at this year’s Best Practice Show, Stand D32, Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th October. Our stand at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham will showcase our intelligent healthcare solutions, in support of collaborative working and population health management across the healthcare landscape. In addition, Gianpiero Celino, Clinical Director of Cegedim Healthcare Systems, will host a panel session on Thursday 14th October to discuss PCN transformation and its challenges, together with the following guest panellists:

• Dr Steven Laitner, GP and NHSE Consultant, co-founder of “Living Life Better”, expert in Population Health Management and Anticipatory Care
• Dr Helen Davies, GP and Clinical Lead for Community and Population Health Management at Calderdale CCG
• Professor Krish Nirantharakumar, Professor in Health Data Science and Public Health, Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine, UKRI Innovation Clinical Fellow
• Dr Charlotte Gretton, GP and Managing Director of Cegedim Healthcare Solutions Clinical Advisory Board

The panel discussion will ask “Are GP IT Systems Friend or Foe?” Within the discussion, a range of challenges facing PCNs to deliver Population Health Management will be explored; these include how to work collaboratively across healthcare systems, how to realise the potential of additional roles and rise to the challenge of increasing demands on primary care. The panellists will also discuss whether current GP IT solutions are on course to meet the ambitions of PCNs and primary care in the future.

Gianpiero Celino comments, “We are looking forward to attending the Best Practice Show this year. Having our interactive panel discussion with experts from primary care and technology should be both enlightening and interesting. We are keen to hear thoughts on how solutions can help support the redesign of care around the needs of patients and equip the primary care workforce to work efficiently and at scale across health economies.

Gianpiero continues, “The event is always enjoyable and it’s a great opportunity for the industry to share their thoughts and work collaboratively to improve the future of Primary Care for general practice and primary care networks. Having these discussions is beneficial to everyone involved.”
