Improve your resilience against Cyber Security threats

In response to the Russian/Ukraine crisis, the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has issued guidance on what to do now the risks around Cyber-Attacks is heightened.

While the NCSC are unaware of any current Cyber Security threats to the UK, it is important that we all take steps now to improve our resilience in the event of an attack.  For these reasons, the NCSC has produced an e-learning training package: 'Staying Safe Online: Top Tips for Staff'. The training has been designed specifically for a non-technical audience; is totally free, easy-to-use (taking less than 30 minutes to complete) and includes:

  • Why Cyber Security is important and how attacks happen.
  • How to defend yourselves against ‘phishing’ emails.
  • Using strong passwords.
  • Securing your devices (both at work and at home) and
  • How to report incidents ('if in doubt, call it out')

Similarly, NHS Digital have also published dedicated resources that provide advice and how to report an incident – Cyber and data security - NHS Digital
